The Ronald V. Dellums Memorial SMART Scholarship 

To honor the lifetime work of Representative Dellums, Congress established the Ronald V. Dellums Memorial SMART Scholarship, with the goal to increase participation of underrepresented students in the Department of Defense STEM workforce. This opportunity expands the SMART scholarship opportunity to rising college freshmen who plan to pursue a bachelor’s degree in one of the 24 SMART STEM disciplines.

CTI Real Estate Annual Scholarship

In April 2024, CTI Real Estate will celebrate 20 Years in Business by offering 20 Scholarships to Graduating Youth who are matriculating to trade school or College. CTI Real Estate provides multiple scholarships ranging from $250 to $1000. This scholarship is open until March 31, 2024 and accepts applicants from all over the world.

Carrie Hill Tatum Memorial Scholarship

Each year, the Fredericksburg Area Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated provides scholarships to graduating high school seniors in our service area.  If you attend high school in the counties of Caroline, King George, Spotsylvania, Stafford, or the City of Fredericksburg you are eligible for one of ten (10) $1,000 scholarships.

Mary Virginia S. Jackson Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship fund was established in April 2016 in honor of Mary Virginia S. Jackson by her daughter, Mrs. Deborah Paulette S. Hawthorne.  Mary S. Jackson worked as a para-educator at Hugh Mercer Elementary School for more than 30 years and touched the lives of many young children. The Mary Virginia S. Jackson Memorial scholarship in the amount of $750.00 will be awarded to a graduating Shiloh Baptist Church New Site high school senior who plans to attend an accredited college, university, technical school, or trade school in the fall of 2024. The funds may be used toward tuition, books, or room and board. The scholarship will be awarded annually until the funds are depleted.

Beblon G. Parks Scholarship

In honor of Beblon G. Parks, retired VEA UniServ Manager & Director of the Office of Field Support, Organizing, and Minority Engagement. Two $2,000 scholarships will be awarded to two high school seniors intending to pursue a career in Education. A letter of nomination from a current Virginia Education Association (VEA) member or VEA-Retired member is required.

The Greater Rappahannock (VA) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated Annual Scholarship

The applicant must be an African American candidate for graduation in a high school within the service areas of the Greater Rappahannock (VA) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated. Our service areas include: The City of Fredericksburg and counties of Spotsylvania, Stafford, Caroline, and King George.
Applications are due on or before March 31, 2024.

James W. and Leila G. Freeman Scholarship

(Northern Virginia Chapter of the National Hampton Alumni Association)

The applicant must be a resident of the Northern Virginia area (Fairfax, Arlington, Prince William, Stafford, and Fauquier counties; Cities of Alexandria, Culpeper, Falls Church, Fairfax, Manassas, Manassas Park and Fredericksburg). Must have a least a 2.8 GPA on a 4.0 scale. Must complete scholarship application with all required documents. Applications must be postmarked by April 1, 2024.

Sardi's Scholarship

(In Memorial of Philip G. Sardelis)

$2,000 scholarship in loving memory of Philip G. Sardelis, who always gave back and wanted to have the greatest impact on the community he possibly could. Applications are open to high school seniors and former graduates. Must be in a 10-mile radius of one of our locations. 10 scholarships will be awarded.

Joseph M. Fannell Scholarship

Through its Scholarships and Grant the Joseph M. Fannell Memorial Foundation seeks to provide financial assistance to young people who are pursuing a career in the Creative and Performing Arts.

The Foundation now offers the following: The JMF Creative and Performing Arts Scholarship Award for $2,000; the JMF Creative and Performing Arts Monetary Grant $2,000; and the newly added, JMF Memorial Scholarship $3,000; and the JMF Mecklenburg County Scholarship $1,000. All scholarships require a demonstrated interest in either the creative or performing arts, an official application, in addition to the individual criteria as listed

Betty J. Hunter Bazemore Scholarship Fund

Betty J. Hunter Bazemore always believed that an education provides access to opportunities and everyone should have access to funds to succeed in their education. 

The Betty J. Hunter Bazemore Scholarship is accepting applications from: 

  • High School Seniors who will graduate Spring 2024 (June) and plan to attend a technical school, junior college, or a four-year college/university in the Fall of 2024. (High School applicants) 

  • Full Time students who are planning to return to a technical school, junior college, or a four year college/university in the Fall of 2024. (Returning students up to age 25 obtaining an Undergraduate Degree)
